How to reach Ravello from Roma

For those wishing to join Ravello from Rome, here are the options:

By car (option A):

Take the A1 motorway from Rome towards Naples - once in Naples, follow the signs for A3 Napoli-Pompei-Salerno, take the Angri Sud exit and follow the signs ‘Valico di Chiunzi’ and ‘Costiera Amalfitana’. Follow the pass that connects Ravello to the highway. Estimated driving time 3:12.

By car (option B):

Take the A1 motorway from Rome to Naples. Once in Naples, follow the directions for the A3 'Napoli-Pompei-Salerno' motorway and take the exit 'Vietri sul mare'. Follow the signs 'Costiera amalfitana' and 'Ravello'. This route is very picturesque but also very busy, especially during the summer season. Estimated driving time 4h12.

Public transports from Rome airport:

At the airport, follow the signs to the train station and buy a ticket for the 'Leonardo Express' train to Rome's terminus station. Once in 'Roma Termini', look for a train to Naples Centrale or to Salerno Station.

Salerno bus:

If you want to continue your journey by public transport, we advise you to arrive at the Salerno railway station and to take a SITA bus that leaves every hour from Salerno to Amalfi, then to change and to take another one from Amalfi to Ravello. The ticket costs about €5 (it is best to buy them first at the Salerno station). The journey from Salerno Station to Ravello is expected to last 2.5 hours depending on the traffic.

How to reach Ravello from Naples Capodichino Airport:

The only public transportation from Naples Airport to Ravello is the Pintour bus that will take you from the airport to Ravello Castiglione (5 km drive to the city). Once in Ravello Castiglione, you will need to take a SITA bus to the center of Ravello.
